you say it's your birthday......

it's my birthday too yeah. Yep, today's the day. I remember as a little kid, it was almost as exciting as Christmas. The parties, the presents, the surprises. The whole day was none stop coolness, including treat boxes my mom would make for me to share with all my classmates.
Today is different though. The bills still need paid, regardless of whether it's my birthday or not. Everything does not seem to revolve around me. But I am still happy. Hmmm, is it the song Happy birthday, almost commanding me to be happy ? Naww, I think it s the memories, the gratefulness that I've made it this far, laughing as I recall some of the really stupid things I've done in my life. And really fun things...and really fun stupid things when I really think about it. Really.....
And then there's the plans I have for the future. I never stop dreaming. Maybe that's why this day doesn't bother me. With every birthday comes new ideas, hopes, dreams & yes, realizations too. So hey you say it's your birthday ? We're gonna have a good time.
