Colours, just like scents & songs, can trigger our memories & our moods. But it's not just the colours that we see, it's the colours that we feel.
Think about it, so many colours are associated with feelings. Think GREEN with envy, feeling BLUE, YELLOW with fear.
Try this....lay down in a quiet area. Close your eyes, take a few cleansing breathes, & just try to free your mind.
Let colours come into your vision. Which one is prominent? How do you feel when you see it?

Perspective
Hmmm...that's an interesting word isn't it? Kind of like Propagating ponderances perpetually. Lots of definitions come to my mind. But today, after hearing some very shocking news, it is about life and what & how we make of it.
So say you just ran out of coffee & you're almost late to an appointment & you catch all the red lights. What a day I'm having, you probably think to yourself. However, if you watched House & heard the reference to happy Canadians, of which I am one (Canadian...not always happy however) you have to look & think & put things in our word for the day, everybody say it with me now.......perspective.
My daughters are in the midst of end of year chaos. Tests coming out of every nook & cranny, stress about grades, hair that just wasn't being cooperative, that sort of thing. My oldest however, heard from a friend of hers this morning that he wouldn't be at school today. Why she asked. Because my nose is broken, he replied. Thinking he tripped & simply was overreacting, she asked Are you kidding? No he continued. My dad got drunk while my mom was at work, got in a fight with me, & broke my nose. This is a kid who is everyone's friend. He's very mild tempered, likes to make people laugh. And has all the same teenage stresses going on as my kids & all the others. But finding this latest out about him puts things in perspective. It feels like all those seemingly important nuisances have now been hung in suspended animation as this terrible thing called abuse hurtles on through.
Now what do you say, has this to do with crafting? Ribbon. Yep, ribbon. You've seen the ribbons for every awareness out there. Blue is for child abuse. Here's a link to some other colors & what they're affiliation is:
Awareness colors
Choose today to make a difference. Make some card sets with these ribbons incorporated. Scrap a page to help you never forget. Or get beading & create a pretty glasses holder or keychain using the color(s) that represent the awarenesses closest to you.
Be blessed....because you are.

I know, usually this blog features lots of paper, paper, paper related stuff. However, when you're writing those journal entries in your newly created book or scrapbook page, you want to have just the right word to describe what you're trying to convey.
Here's a way to do that, learn some new words, & help those less fortunate....it's free for you, free for those who are starving, & a neat way to show off your vocabulary and learn some fun new words.
The World food Programme has been working since 1963 in conjunction with the United Nations to provide food to those in need.
