Truth

When someone says they want the truth, is that really what they want ? The actual truth ? Or do they want what they perceive or have predetermined to be the truth?
Sometimes it seems, whether consciously or subconsciously, that we have already decided what the truth should be when we ask another. Then, when they respond with the answer, we don't like what we hear when it doesn't agree with the answer we have. As a result, we begin interrogation, that is, asking the same question, over & over, hoping to finally hear the answer we were hoping to hear, or what we felt was correct in our own minds.
This can be a problem in our relationships with others, & also in our spiritual relationships. If we ask for answers, & are given those answers, we might miss them while we are waiting for what we feel should be the answer.
By opening our minds, & allowing others to answer our questions, we can both grow & learn.

"Close your eyes and you will see clearly, cease to listen and you will hear truth"
